This first edition is a tribute to one of the greatest Russian musicians of the 20th century – Evgeny Svetlanov – to commemorate the 90th anniversary of his birth.
The subtitle of the Festival “Crazy Weekend” highlights the versatile character of this event with 13 concerts of classical music including Maestro Svetlanov‘s favourite classic works, jazz, his own compositions and new works paying tribute to his memory.
The Festival also will include master classes, an Evgeny Svetlanov tribute exhibition of the Moscow Museum, video projections of documentaries and performances with Maestro Svetlanov, as well as round tables titled “A Corner of Memory”.
The mission of the Festival is to create in the Conservatory – and Moscow city at large – a “crazy” and creative musical atmosphere.
