Adrien Fournaison captivates audiences with his noble phrasing, rich timbre and seamless vocal range, establishing himself as one of the most promising artists of his generation.
A graduate with highest honours from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, he trained at the Atelier Lyrique Opera Fuoco, the Académie Jaroussky and the Académie Orsay-Royaumont, studying with Philippe Jaroussky, Karine Deshayes, Stéphane Degout and Dame Felicity Lott.
His early engagements include Guglielmo (Così fan tutte) with the Orchestre du Palais Royal and Ariodate (Serse) with Opera Fuoco. He has appeared in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Mozart’s Requiem and Orff’s Carmina Burana.
In 2022, he debuted at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Giulio Cesare, returning for Charpentier’s Médée and Massenet’s Grisélidis (Bru Zane recording). He has also performed at the Opéra Royal de Versailles, Opéra de Montpellier and Theater an der Wien.
Recent highlights include Angelotti (Tosca), Papageno (Une petite Flûte enchantée), Atys (Lully), and Leporello (Don Giovanni) at the Théâtre de l’Athénée. He collaborates regularly with leading ensembles such as Les Talens Lyriques, Le Concert de la Loge and Les Siècles.
An accomplished recitalist, he won the Lied Prize at the Nadia and Lili Boulanger Competition and the Contemporary Melody Prize in Toulouse. Named Talents Adami Classique 2024, he is also a laureate of Génération Opéra 2025–2026.
