The Evgeny Svetlanov International Conducting Competition is happy to announce the openning of the box-office on 27th February 2026.
From now, all the passionate music lovers who want to discover the Art of conducting are welcome to buy tickets to attend one of the major classical music events and enjoy a battle of conductors in Birmingham, at the Symphony Hall.
The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra will follow each competitor’s gesture to show up the artistry of young conductors.
The Competition unfolds in three rounds:
3–4 September – Preliminary Round (closed session) at the CBSO Centre – 18 candidates selected
5 September – Semi-Finals (public session) at Symphony Hall – 8 semi-finalists
6 September – Finals (public session) at Symphony Hall – 4 finalists
Each performance reveals a distinct artistic voice and musical vision through a carefully chosen symphonic repertoire. At the end of the Finals, the audience of the Symphony Hall will vote for the Audience Prize.
More than a competition, this is a celebration of Music-making, Talent, and shared experience.
