The 6th Evgeny Svetlanov International Conducting Competition is delighted to partner with Birmingham-based fine jewellery Maison Harle Paris.
Much like jewellery-making, the art of conducting is, at its heart, a profoundly human craft. Just as a jeweller reveals the hidden potential of stones and precious metals, transforming them into a work of art, a conductor brings a musical score to life, shaping its character, direction and emotion.
Founded in Britain by jewellery designer and gemmologist Anson Law, Harle Paris is an independent fine jewellery Maison with connections to Paris and an international outlook.
The Svetlanov Competition and Harle Paris share a commitment to excellence, the transmission of knowledge, dedication to one’s craft, and the support of emerging talent — the young artists who will help shape the musical landscape for years to come.
“A beginning shaped with intention”, as Harle Paris describes its philosophy, resonates particularly strongly with the mission of the Svetlanov Competition: to recognise exceptional talent at a defining moment and help give it the opportunity to flourish.
For this year’s Competition, Harle Paris is sponsoring jewellery prizes for the winners, including mother-of-pearl and lapis lazuli cufflinks in silver and a South Sea pearl brooch in silver.
