Antonino Abate is an Italian composer based in London and a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music (BMus, MA, First Class). His musical interests are wide-ranging, embracing contemporary classical music, modern ballet and film scoring.

He is the first recipient of the Svetlanov Legacy Charity Award for Composition, which supported his studies at the Academy.

His compositions have been performed in the United Kingdom and internationally, including at Wigmore Hall. His music has been performed by musicians and ensembles such as Nicholas Daniel OBE, the Richmond Concert Society, and Riot Ensemble.

During his studies at the Royal Academy of Music, Antonino received several scholarships supporting his academic work, including the Leverhulme Arts Scholarship. He also received a number of composition prizes, including the Composition Undergraduate Prize, the Regency Award, and the Muriel Dawson Composition Prize.

His teachers have included Philip Cashian, Rubens Askenar, and visiting professor Hans Abrahamsen.
