Miquel studied piano and conducting at the Conservatori Superior del Liceu, the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, and the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien.

His artistic development has been shaped through collaborations and lessons with conductors such as Marin Alsop, Toby Purser, Omer Meir Wellber, Yoav Talmi, Ulrich Windfuhr and Simeon Pironkoff, alongside international study experiences, including an exchange programme at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.

He has gained extensive conducting experience through his work with German ensembles such as the Hamburger Symphoniker, Lüneburger Symphoniker and the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg. Deeply engaged with both symphonic and operatic repertoire, he has led projects including his own production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, he was in charge for both musical and dramaturgical direction.

Since 2023, he has served as Music Director of the Stephanskirche in Schenefeld, Germany.

Recent activities include a close collaboration with Omer Meir Wellber on the “Missing Movement” project (2025/26) with the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg, where he also led his own recording of Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante, as well as participation in Leonard Bernstein’s Mass with the Hamburgische Staatsoper.

In 2026, he assisted Toby Purser at Abbey Road Studios in London in the recording of operatic arias for an audiovisual project with the soprano Angelina Monyak.

Miquel is especially drawn to multidisciplinary projects that bring together different forms of expression.
