Nikita’s musical journey began in the boys’ choir of the St. Petersburg State Capella. He graduated from the Faculty of Music Theory at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, specialising in the symphonies of Gustav Mahler, before studying conducting at the Conservatoire de Paris under Alain Altinoglu.

In 2019, he participated in the Tugan Sokhiev Conducting Academy with the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse and collaborated with the Ensemble Intercontemporain from 2016 to 2021. In 2019, he also won the Russian Conducting Competition with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra.

Since 2022/23 season, Nikita has assisted Alain Altinoglu and the Frankfurt Radio Orchestra, including on a tour to the Vienna Musikverein, as well as Gergely Madaras for Shostakovich’s The Nose at La Monnaie. In the 2025/26 season, he participated in recordings of Shostakovich’s Symphonies Nos. 10 and 11 with the Frankfurt Radio Orchestra.
He also served as Assistant Conductor with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra for Mahler’s Symphony No. 6 and Strauss’s Salome.

In 2025, he stepped in for Mikko Franck to conduct Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France.
Other engagements include performances with the Orchestre de Picardie, Miskolc Symphony Orchestra and Moscow State Symphony Orchestra. He has also assisted Paul Daniel, Valentin Uryupin, Sebastian Lang-Lessing and Leonard Slatkin.

Nikita has distinguished himself as a composer. His Requiem was performed at the Panthéon in Paris in 2021 by the UNESCO Choir to mark the 40th anniversary of the abolition of the death penalty in France. He also composes for piano, string quartet and organ.
