A Japanese month for Robert Trevino

Robert Trevino has successfully toured the Land of the Rising Sun for a remarkable series of concerts, in Hiroshima with The Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra, and at The Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall with The Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. Two concerts marked by ambitious programmes from Stravinsky’s Firebird to Dvorak’s Symphony No. 7.

On October 15th, Rossen Gergov opened his concert with the Sofia Philahrmonic Orchestra with the symphonic picture “Daybreak in the field”, a majestic work by Evgeny Svetlanov that reveals his love of his motherland, Russia.

Rossen Gergov’s Japanese Victory

Rossen Gergov Tokio Symphony 17Rossen Gergov recently delivered a series of wonderful concerts with the top Japanese orchestras: The Tokyo Symphony, The Kansai Philharmonic and The Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. These collaborations brought him the finest programmes: The Guitar Concerto by Rodrigo, 4th Symphony  by Tchaikovsky, 5th Symphony by Dvorak…and much more.
On 31st of December, he will conduct a great New Year Concert with the Osaka Symphony Orchestra. A true victory in Japan!

Lio Kuokman with the Kansai Philharmonic

On 15th of September Lio Kuokman was a last minute replacement for Augustin Dumay at the head of the Kansai Philharmonic in Japan.

His debut was marked by the programme :
Schumann: “Genoveva” Overture Op.81
Schumann: Violin Concerto D minor Op.posth. with Violinist Kerson Leong
Beethoven: Symphony No.2 D major Op.36

Lio Kuokman: a conductor “full of sensitivity and life”

Lio Kuokman created  a sensation this summer in the magical Parc du Château de Florans, during the International Music Festival of La Roque d’Anthéron. Directing the Sinfonia Varsovia, Lio Kuokman paid tribute to the creative genius of Chopin and Mozart.
His performance on August 12th was memorable. Classique News and the director of La Roque d’Anthéron Festival both praised his talent. The online magazine described a conductor “full of sensitivity and life”, showing a “clear direction” and René Martin was enthusiastic in his praise: “I loved Lio. He conducted like a god, displaying very rare precision and musicality”.
