“The Svetlanov Planet” by Olga Victorova conducted by Dmitry Filatov

On December  7th, 2018, in Belgorod (Russia), Dmitry Filatov conducted a concert tribute to Evgeny Svetlanov. One of the pieces of the programme was a new work by Olga Victorova The Svetlanov Planet.

These beautiful pages of contemporary music were first performed in 2018, during the Final Round of the 4th Svetlanov Competition in Paris, where Dmitry Filatov was awarded Second Prize.

We are happy to share with you Olga Victorova’s The Svetlanov Planet performed by the Belgorod Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Dmitry Filatov.

Laureates of the Svetlanov Competition at the « Folle Journée » Festival in Nantes 2019

We are happy of the achievements of our laureates who are invited to conduct the Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra at the one of the most important music festival in France : “La Folle Journée de Nantes 2019“, whose theme this year is “Travel Diaries”.

The « Planet of Svetlanov» in Belgorod

On December 7th, Dmitry Filatov, winner of the Second Prize of the last 2018 Evgeny Svetlanov Competition, organized and conducted a concert tribute to the 90th anniversary of Maestro Svetlanov.

The program,  which took place at the Belgorod Philharmonic Hall in Russia,  included two of Evgeny Svetlanov’s works: The symphonic poems The Read Snowball Tree (soloist – Vera Tsukalenko) and Daugava, Khachaturian’s Rhapsody-Concerto for cello (soloist – Anna Koshkina) and Olga Victorova’s magnificent work The Svetlanov Planet that was premiered during the Final Round of the 2018 Svetlanov Competition.

Watch the “Svetlanov – Universe!” Festival in replay on medici.tv

The “Svetlanov – Universe!” Festival which took place on the 10th and 11th of November 2018 at the Moscow Conservatory,was a real success ! It seemed as if Maestro Svetlanov’s spirit accompanied those crazy days. The atmosphere was incredibly warm and friendly, both backstage and in the Conservatory halls.

13 concerts, masterclasses, video projections, meetings and an exhibition did not allow the audience a single moment of boredrom.

All the concerts were recorded. Some of them were broadcast live on the Russian TV channel “Kultura” . Today, November 18th, 2018, at 7 p.m. the medici.tv webchannel starts a webcast of the Festival concerts. The celebration goes on!

Fuad Ibrahimov with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra

 

Juste after being awarded the Second Prize at the last Svetlanov Competition, Fuad Ibrahimov received an immediate invitation from the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra to open the Beaulieu Classic Festival (France) on Friday 14th of September.

He will conduct Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto n°1 with Miroslav Kultyshev as the soloist, and Beethoven’s Symphony n°7.
